A studio shaped by real production experience

York Road Studio was created to support the way modern content is made with more control and more flexibility.

Founded by Alan Stockdale of Foundlight Productions, the studio was established to meet the evolving needs of modern, adaptable productions, right in the heart of Worthing on the UK’s vibrant South Coast. After years working on shoots of all sizes, one thing became consistent, the environment often dictates how smoothly a production runs.

Limited control, inefficient setups, and spaces not designed for filming can slow everything down.

York Road Studio was built to offer a more practical alternative:

a fully controllable, production-ready space that allows teams to focus on the work itself.

With a career in film production dating back to 2004, Alan brings two decades of hands-on experience to the studio’s design, ensuring it delivers both flexibility and functionality. Every detail of the space reflects his deep understanding of what professionals need on set.

York Road Studio is engineered for creative control. From blackout to daylight flexibility, integrated lighting grids and modular set builds, every element is designed to streamline production workflows. Whether you’re lighting cinematic interviews, building scenes with flats, staging complex tabletop shots, or recording cinematic podcasts, the studio adapts to your needs with maximum aesthetic control.
